How it began

It started with a heatwave.

A few summers ago a heatwave rolled in, and Mike's gran was really struggling with it. Her flat was rented, so a proper air conditioner was off the table - no drilling, no bracket hanging out the window, no landlord signing off on it.

So, like most people, she fell back on a fan. And a fan just pushes warm air around the room - it doesn't actually cool anything down. Watching his gran sit in front of one, no cooler than before, Mike was sure there had to be a better answer.

There wasn't one worth buying, so he built it. Breeze is the installation-free alternative to air-con: it genuinely cools the air, uses a fraction of the electricity, and rolls from room to room with you. No window kit, no drilling, no engineer, no permission needed. Fill it with icy water, switch it on, feel the difference.

That was the whole point.

Breeze doesn't need a compressor, a window kit or a drill. It chills the air by drawing it across ice-cold water, the same trick that makes a sea breeze feel cool, then pushes it back out to where you're sitting. That's a fraction of the energy an air-con unit burns through, and nothing to bolt to the wall.
